As a Parts Coordinator you are primarily responsible for providing consultation to service technicians and customers, receiving shipments and stocks parts, providing price estimates for designated installations prior to scheduling appointments, keeping prepayment logs, and performing related troubleshooting tasks based on skill level.
Essential Job Functions:
Familiarity with parts and accessories vendors
Maintains appropriate levels of inventory to ensure accuracy with orders
Monitors daily parts traffic and receives parts of installations/inspects vehicle to ensure proper parts are ordered
Keeps units and equipment secure from weather
Consistently follows up with customers and management on the status of the work order
Demonstrates operation of newly installed equipment
Maintains a safe work area for customers and coworkers
Reviews each job for proper size, colors, placement of product, etc. prior to scheduling job for installation
Suggestive selling to enhance profitability of the store
Provides excellent overall customer service
Schedules installation appointments with designated staff
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Essential Job Skills:
High school education or equivalent
1-3 years of parts experience in RV, Auto or Marine industry a plus
Working knowledge of activities, methods, procedures and policies of the shop
Strong communication skills
Basic computer skills
Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
Forklift experience/certification preferred or ability to be certified required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
